Fishing locations

Noddle Burn

Noddle Burn flows through the north of the town and may be fished in sections from the sea to Outerwards reservoir. Anglers must ensure they do not trespass and comply with all notices. The burn is mainly a spate water holding the occasional salmon and sea trout although current regulations require anglers to return all migratory fish.

Burn records

The heaviest wild fish was a salmon of 21lbs, caught in the Gogo by a day permit holder from Kilwinning.

The heaviest seatrout, a fish of 8lb11oz, was caught in the Gogo by Stuart Murray on 11th Sept. 1988 and was witnessed by P.Pengelly and Ian McIntyre.
